Ship real products.

Studio is where fifteen-to-seventeen-year-olds build and ship a real AI product each term, the way a small startup team would: interviews, scope, sprints, testing, launch, demo. They use professional tools through Aivy's supervised platform, and leave with a shipped product and a written case study for university applications.

Studio

What your child will learn

  • How modern AI systems work: language models, tokens and context, retrieval, agents and tool use, local and cloud models, cost and latency.
  • Product skills: user interviews, scoping a first version, sprint planning, usability testing, launch.
  • Professional engineering practice: version control, code review, deployment, documentation and system cards.
  • How to use AI coding assistants well, and the discipline to explain every generated line.
  • AI evaluation, safety and ethics at a practical level: bias audits, guardrails, disclosure, intellectual property, regulation.
  • Level 2, agents and automation, or a data and research track. Level 3, Founders: build for a real client and enter competitions.

What they will make

  • A deployed AI product (a web app or an automation) with real users and analytics.
  • A README, a system card and a case study written for a portfolio.
  • A Demo Day pitch delivered to parents, mentors and invited founders.
  • Level 2, an agent or a research study. Level 3, a product for a real client, plus competition entries.

How it runs

  • Two-and-a-half-hour sessions, once a week, in a 10-week term. Each term is one full product cycle.
  • Cohorts of 6–8 with a mentor-grade instructor and an assistant. Students work in teams of 2–3.
  • Ends with Demo Day and a term transcript.

Who it is for: Level 1 assumes comfortable Python (or JavaScript): variables, functions, lists, a simple app. Newcomers take a 30-minute placement. Students below the coding bar join a four-week bridge first.

Levels are terms

The three levels

One level is one 10-week term. Children move up by readiness, not just by birthday.

  1. Level 1

    Apps: Your First AI Product

One full product cycle: problem, interviews, scope, build with the sandbox, design, ship, case study, Demo Day.

They make: A deployed AI product with README, system card and case study, pitched at Demo Day.

  2. Level 2

Agents & Automation, or Data & Research

Track A: agents with tools, permissions, evaluations and human oversight. Track B: a machine-learning study written up as a research abstract.

They make: A working agent with an evaluation report, or a research project with abstract, figures and a demo.

  3. Level 3

    Founders

Build for a real client with a real deadline, and enter competitions.

They make: A product delivered to a real client, plus a competition entry.

Safe by design

Safety and AI use

  • All model access runs through Aivy's sandbox with parental consent, logging and a monthly usage credit. API keys never reach students.
  • AI coding assistants are used under the 'explain every line' rule. Nothing ships that the student cannot walk through.
  • Products are built privacy-first, and we apply the UAE's child digital-safety rules whenever a project could reach other young users.

What comes home

  • 01

A weekly progress note and clip, and a term transcript listing skills, tools and the shipped product.

  • 02

Links to the deployed product, the repository and the case study.

  • 03

The Studio badge, and competition recommendations where earned.

Every term

Ends with Demo Day

Five-minute pitches with live demos to parents, mentors and invited founders.

Questions about Studio

What does my child need to bring?

Explorers and Makers use the academy’s own tablets and laptops, so nothing. Builders and Studio students bring their own laptop; we can lend one.
