Who we are

Aivy Academy is a brand of Arete Solutions FZCO, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Arete Solutions FZCO is the controller of the personal data described here. For anything about your data, email beshr@aivy.ae or message us on WhatsApp at +971 50 516 0019.

This site is for parents

This website is written for parents and guardians. It has no accounts, no logins and no features for children, and it collects nothing from children. At the academy itself, separate written consent forms cover a child’s participation, photos and videos, and, from Builders, access to Aivy’s supervised AI sandbox. Those forms, not this notice, govern what we hold about a child.

What we collect, and why

The only personal data this website collects is what you type into the waitlist form: your name, your email address, your WhatsApp number, the age band of your child or children, the area of Dubai you live in, and how you heard about us. We do not ask for a child’s name, date of birth or photo.

We use it for one purpose: to run the waitlist. That means messaging you about free Open Build sessions, term and camp dates, the founding-family rate and the programmes, and answering what you ask us.

Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time by replying “stop” on WhatsApp, by replying to any email we send, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before.

Where it is kept and who handles it

Your details are stored in Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany, in an encrypted database that only the academy’s staff can reach. Storing data outside the United Arab Emirates is a transfer under UAE data-protection law; we rely on the contractual safeguards in AWS’s data-processing terms and on your consent.

Three services process data on our behalf:

• Amazon Web Services stores the waitlist and sends us a notification email when you join.
• Cloudflare provides Turnstile, the “are you human” check on the form, which receives your IP address and browser signals to tell people from bots, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies, local storage or fingerprinting.
• WhatsApp (Meta) and our email provider carry our replies to you under their own terms.

We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use advertising trackers.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details for twelve months after Aivy’s public launch, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you enrol, the enrolment records are kept under the terms you agree to at that point.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. The analytics we use are cookieless. Turnstile does not set a cookie on this site.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, give it to you in a portable form, or stop using it. Email beshr@aivy.ae and we will act within a month. If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Changes

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top of the page.
